Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with President Sasu of the Republic of Congo on the 5 th in the Great Hall of the people.

       Xi pointed out that he was grateful to Mr. President and the Government of the Republic of Congo for their contributions to the success of the Beijing Summit of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum. At present, China just relations are at the best stage of history. China regards the Republic of Congo as a "all-weather" friend and is willing to further consolidate and deepen political mutual trust with the Congo side, expand exchanges at all levels and at high levels, strengthen exchanges of experience in governing the country and politics, strengthen exchanges of policies, ideas and strategies, firmly grasp the correct direction of Sino-Congo relations, and address issues of mutual core interests and major concern. We must continue to strengthen mutual support and deepen the connotation of the comprehensive strategic partnership. The two sides should also strengthen coordination and cooperation on important global issues to promote the development of the global governance system and the international order in a more just and rational direction. China is firmly committed to promoting mutually beneficial cooperation and welcomes the active participation of the gang in the construction of the "one belt and one road" and promoting fruitful results in exchanges and cooperation in all fields.

       Sassou said that the attendance of so many African leaders at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation shows that African countries attach great importance to Africa-China relations. Gang Fang fully supports the Beijing declaration and the Beijing action plan adopted by the summit. Fang Fang thanked China for its valuable assistance for a long time. He highly appraised President Xi Jinping's "one belt and one road" initiative and the concept of the community of human destiny. He appreciated the "eight actions" proposed by President Xi, and was willing to link the national development strategy with the "one belt and one road initiative" to accelerate self development. The friendship between the two countries is unbreakable, and the latter will not be disturbed by the murmurs of Africa-China relations. It will be firmly committed to deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries.

After the talks, the heads of state of the two countries also witnessed the signing of bilateral cooperation documents.

       Prior to the talks, Xi Jinping held a welcome ceremony for Sasu at the North Hall of the Great Hall of the people. Ding Xuexiang, Yang Jiechi, Cao Jianming, Wang Yi, Xia Baolong, He Lifeng and so on.
