The roundtable of the Beijing summit of China Africa Cooperation Forum was held on 4 may in the Great Hall of the people. Chinese President Xi Jinping and South African President Lamafosa, co-chairman of the Forum, presided over the first and second phases respectively. The meeting adopted the Beijing Declaration on Building a Closer Central African Destiny Community and the China-Africa Cooperation Forum-Beijing Action Plan (2019-2021).
At about 10 a.m., Xi Jinping entered the meeting with South African President Lamafosa and the heads of delegations of 53 African members of the Forum, co-chairman of the Forum. Xi Jinping declared the meeting open.
The participants expressed their views on Promoting Sino African relations, deepening cooperation in various fields, building closer Sino African fate communities, building a "one belt road" and international and regional issues of common concern.
Xi stressed that in the past two days, the Beijing Summit has focused on the theme of "win-win cooperation and building a closer community of destinies in Central Africa", gathered consensus, docked development strategies, and once again sang the theme of win-win cooperation and common development between China and Africa.
Xi Jinping pointed out that the Beijing Summit of the Forum jointly reviewed the great development of China-Africa Comprehensive Strategic Partnership since the establishment of the Forum, especially since the Johannesburg Summit in 2015, and considered the full implementation of China-Africa Ten Cooperation Plans. We have unanimously decided to work together to build a community of destinies in China and Africa, which is characterized by shared responsibility, win-win cooperation, happiness, cultural prosperity, security and harmonious coexistence, so as to lay a solid political foundation for China-Africa relations, tighten the emotional ties between the Chinese and African people and enrich the connotation of the Sino-African cooperation era.
Xi Jinping pointed out that we unanimously adopted the summit outcome document, and pointed out the direction for the development of China Africa relations. The Beijing Declaration on Building a Closer Community of Destiny in Central Africa fully embodies the common understanding between China and Africa on major issues in the world today, and demonstrates the determination of China and Africa to unite and friendship, to share opportunities and to meet challenges together. The China-Africa Cooperation Forum-Beijing Action Plan (2019-2021) has planned pragmatic cooperation in various fields between China and Africa over the next three years and a period of time. It demonstrates the firm will of China and Africa to jointly implement the "Eight Great Actions" and promote the quality and efficiency of China-Africa cooperation. It also describes a new blueprint for win-win and common development of China-Africa cooperation.
Xi stressed that we have agreed to uphold the principle of building and sharing through consultation and build the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation into a brand of unity and cooperation between China and Africa and a banner of international cooperation with Africa. We will strengthen policy coordination, promote the implementation of the outcome of the forum, and integrate China Africa's "one belt and one road", the 2063 agenda of the African Union, the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda for 2030 and the development strategies of African countries, so as to provide more opportunities and effective platforms for African development and revitalization, and provide China Africa cooperation. Inexhaustible power and greater space.
Xi pointed out that the summit exchanged in-depth views on major international and regional issues, such as the international situation, peace and security, and global governance. We are determined to strengthen communication and cooperation, firmly safeguard the open world economy and the multilateral trading system, oppose protectionism and unilateralism, jointly safeguard each other's core interests and the interests of developing countries as a whole, and actively promote the building of a new international relationship of mutual respect, fairness, justice, and win-win cooperation, in order to build the destiny of mankind. The community has made new and greater contributions.
Xi Jinping stressed that Sino African relations in the new era are accumulating strong momentum and ushering in a promising future. China is ready to work with Africa to take advantage of the East Wind of the Beijing Summit of the Forum to push China-Africa strategic cooperative partnership to a new level. We should unswervingly inherit the traditional friendship between China and Africa, make the tree of friendship between China and Africa more rooted and flourishing; unswervingly deepen the political mutual trust between China and Africa, and make the strategic foundation of Sino-African cooperation more stable; unswervingly promote the common development of China and Africa and make the fruits of cooperation more beneficial to the people of Central Africa; and unswervingly strengthen the unity and cooperation between China and Africa. The trend of world peace and development is stronger.
Xi pointed out that the vigorous development of Sino-African cooperation has not only promoted the development and progress of Africa, boosted the confidence of the African people and the international community in the future of Africa's development, but also led international partners to pay more attention to Africa and increase investment and cooperation in Africa. Let us take this summit as a new starting point, uphold the initiative, unite and work hard to realize the great dream of common development and revitalization of China and Africa.
African leaders spoke highly of the summit and agreed that it was a historic event to strengthen solidarity and cooperation between Africa and China, and once again sent a strong signal to the world that Africa and China are committed to strengthening friendly cooperation and promoting greater solidarity among developing countries. I am glad that more African countries have joined the forum, and the friendship circle of non China friendship has been expanding. The summit is pragmatic, efficient and fruitful. It has effectively promoted the in-depth development of Africa-China cooperation and opened a new era of Africa-China cooperation. The forum will be led by building a closer community of destinies in Central Africa, gathering more strength to promote the construction of a community of human destinies, and accumulating more positive energy for world peace, stability, development and prosperity.
Africa is satisfied with the implementation of the "Ten Cooperation Plans" determined by the Johannesburg Summit of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum. It highly appraises the "Eight Action" announced by Xi Jinping in his speech at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Summit and other new proposals and measures for pragmatic cooperation with Africa, and expresses that the relevant measures and initiatives are fully in line with Africa's economic and social development. In the priority areas, we will strengthen the top-level design for the development of Africa-China relations, achieve win-win cooperation and common development at a higher level, strengthen the overall strength of developing countries, and promote the development of the international order in a more just and rational direction. The non party supports and appreciates the "one belt and one way" initiative, and firmly believes that the "one belt and one way" initiative will accelerate the integration of African regions, and will provide an important boost to the realization of the 2063 agenda of the African Union and the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda for 2030.
China is always listening, understanding and supporting Africa, Fang said. When China helped Africa, it never interfered in the internal affairs of African countries. China always takes righteousness first in its cooperation with Africa, in sharp contrast to the long-standing inequality in international relations. Thank China for hosting justice in the world and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of Africa and developing countries. Strengthening cooperation in various fields between Africa and China will greatly enhance the role and influence of developing countries in international affairs.
The Beijing Declaration on Building a Closer Community for the Fate of Central Africa and the Beijing Action Plan of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (2019-2021) adopted by the summit will be highly appreciated by all parties.
