On December 16, Premier Li Keqiang met in the Hong Kong Hall of the Great Hall of the people in Beijing with Lin Zhengyue, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, who had come to Beijing to report.

       Li Keqiang expressed that he is very concerned about all aspects of chief executive Lin zhengyue'e's report to Beijing this time. There are many damages to the whole society caused by the practice of Hong Kong. The central government will, as always, firmly implement the principle of "one country, two systems", firmly support you as chief executive to lead the government of the Special Administrative Region to govern according to law, and firmly safeguard Hong Kong's long-term prosperity and stability. At present, Hong Kong's economy has declined significantly, and many industries have been hit hard. In the face of unprecedented severe and complex situation, you led the Special Administrative Region government to make every effort to maintain social stability, and successively introduced a series of "supporting enterprises and ensuring employment" rescue measures. All these work is to face difficulties, which is not easy. The efforts of you and the government of the special administrative region are fully affirmed by the central government.

       Li Keqiang pointed out that at present, Hong Kong has not come out of the dilemma. The government of the special administrative region should continue to make efforts to stop violence, control chaos and restore order in accordance with the law, and intensify research and solve some deep-seated contradictions and problems in the economic and social development of Hong Kong, so as to maintain long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong.

       Lin said that in the past year, Hong Kong's politics, economy and society have been in a critical situation. The SAR government has launched a series of measures to restore order, help enterprises and relieve people's poverty. Thank the central government for its support to Hong Kong. The government of the Special Administrative Region will strive to develop the economy, improve people's livelihood, integrate into the overall situation of national development, expand international cooperation and consolidate Hong Kong's position as an international financial, trade and shipping center.
