Premier Li Keqiang met with World Bank President Marcus in the Great Hall of the people on the afternoon of the 20th.

       Li Keqiang expressed that the world bank is an important multilateral development institution in the world. China attaches great importance to the development of its relations with the world bank, and is willing to continue to deepen cooperation with the world bank in key areas such as environmental protection, biodiversity, poverty reduction and development through financial and knowledge cooperation, while fulfilling its international responsibilities and obligations as a major developing country and jointly promoting global development.

       Li Keqiang pointed out that the current international situation is complex and grim, the downward pressure on the world economy is increasing, and the economic growth of major economies is slowing down. China's economy has been deeply integrated into the world. We are deepening reform and opening up, accelerating the construction of a market-oriented, legal and international business environment, and further stimulating market vitality. China is willing to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with all parties, safeguard the free trade system based on rules, overcome difficulties together, and inject power into global economic growth and respective development.

       Malpas said that the current world economy is facing severe challenges and needs all parties to work together. China's economic development has great potential and remarkable achievements have been made in opening up. The Chinese government is making unremitting efforts to achieve growth, cope with aging, scientific and technological innovation, environmental protection and other fields. The world bank is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in these areas.
