The 3rd World Intelligence Congress opened in Tianjin on 16th. Chinese President Xi Jinping wrote a letter to extend warm congratulations on the convening of the General Assembly and sincere welcome to the world-renowned entrepreneurs, industry leaders and Turing Award winners attending the conference.

       In his congratulatory letter, Xi Jinping pointed out that at present, a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation led by artificial intelligence is in the ascendant. Driven by new theories and technologies such as mobile internet, big data, supercomputing, sensor networks and brain science, AI presents new features such as in-depth learning, cross-border integration, man-machine collaboration, open-mindedness and autonomous manipulation, which are exerting a significant and far-reaching impact on economic development, social progress and global governance. China attaches great importance to innovation and development, and takes the new generation of artificial intelligence as the driving force to promote the leap-forward development of science and technology, industrial optimization and upgrading, and the overall jump in productivity, and strives to achieve high-quality development.

       Xi emphasized that holding the World Intelligence Conference aims to build a platform for exchange, cooperation and win-win sharing in the field of world intelligent science and technology. I hope that around the theme of "Intelligent New Age: Progress, Strategies and Opportunities", we will deepen exchanges, enhance consensus and strengthen cooperation, promote the healthy development of the new generation of AI, and better benefit people all over the world.

       At the opening ceremony, Li Hongzhong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee, read out Xi Jinping's congratulatory letter and delivered a speech. He said that President Xi's congratulations pointed out the direction for us to promote the deep integration of AI and economic and social development. Tianjin will embrace the new era of intelligence, build a new economy of intelligence, create a new life of intelligence, strengthen cooperation with other countries in the field of artificial intelligence, and accelerate the construction of "Tianjin Zhigang".

       The 3rd World Intelligence Congress was held from 16 to 19 May. Famous entrepreneurs and industry leaders from 40 countries and regions held dialogues and exchanges.
