In late June, supported metallocene catalyst Chinese Petroleum Corporation Petrochemical Institute of independent development (PMP-01), the first use of polypropylene plant in Harbin Petrochemical Industries Co in 80 thousand tons of batch liquid bulk, the successful production of high transparent metallocene polypropylene MPP6006. The industrial application test success, marking the China oil has zero breakthrough in metallocene polypropylene catalyst and metallocene polyolefin research on new product development, to fill the gaps, provide technical support and service better for upgrading China oil refining business transformation.

In recent years, with the rapid development of packaging, electronics, automobiles, building materials and other industries, the development of polypropylene industry has been promoted. PetroChina has launched a major scientific and technological program for research, development and industrial application of new polyolefin products, providing technical support for the development of high value-added polypropylene special material products.

In 2014, the Petrochemical Institute and Harbin Petrochemical with metallocene catalyst as a breakthrough, with the help of special subject of new polypropylene catalyst development and industrial application, joint research on metallocene polypropylene products. After 3 years' efforts, the metallocene polypropylene catalyst (PMP-01) has been successfully developed.

This catalyst not only retains the advantages of the metallocene catalyst as a single active center and high activity, but also has the advantages of good fluidity, non viscous kettle and high adaptability to the device. It has the industrial application value.
