People's Forum: "Hardship" and "High Achievement"
Release time:2018-11-23

In a football match, players actively strive for and organize attacks, aiming to win the game; if they can run hard but not in place, sweat like rain but can not score goals, "hard work" will be discounted. Similarly, no matter how much hard work it takes, it is ultimately to solve the problem; if it only blossoms, it will not bear fruit, the value of hard work will also be questioned.

No one can succeed casually. Diligence is the only way to success. However, this does not mean that as long as you work hard and work hard, you can do everything well. Some people say, please stop talking about "there is no merit, there is also suffering", hard work is a burden, merit is the condition and value of your existence. Indeed, merit is the result, and hard work is the process. Credit is the result of work. Hard work only indicates that we have made great efforts in our work, but the amount of effort is not necessarily proportional to the effect. In fact, it is not uncommon to see such phenomena as extensive cultivation, poor harvest and poor performance.

It is noteworthy that in reality, some people mistakenly equate "hard work" with "meritorious service". Some make brute force, simple repetition, pay no attention to methods, do no useful work; some sing well, do poorly, busy less than point, dragging colleagues; some boil down time, dawdle, think that they stick to their posts, but do nothing; some play "hard ball", all night long, sleep and forget food, just to brush "save" in front of the leadership. Feel "... In essence, it is also a formalism to go through emptiness and gain fame. No amount of such "hard work" can achieve "merit".

"There is no beauty, no shame; there is luxury, no shame." To start an undertaking and become an official, we should be honest and realistic. If we believe in the so-called "no merit and no hard work", it is only "hard bureaucracy". The more such "incorrect efforts" are, the more likely they are to cause waste of public resources, and the more likely they are to affect the Party's style of work and administration.

It's not hard to be busy, but it's hard to achieve real results. For Party members and cadres, they should correctly deal with hard work, abandon brutality and jump out of the strange circle of transactionalism; establish the concept of "no is no, no has", learn to "play the piano", be good at "pacing the pace", concentrate on accomplishing things and putting their energies into practice; less affairs, more pragmatism, less words and more practices, and strive to do things. One thing makes one thing. We should also advocate the correct orientation of cadre evaluation, not only depending on how busy we are, but also on how many problems have been solved, how many things have been accomplished and how much the masses have gained.

Of course, this does not mean the success or failure of outcome theory alone. On the way of deepening reform, there are dangerous beaches and reefs everywhere, which inevitably lead to bumps and even stagnation. The harm of eagerness for quick success and instant benefit and liking great success is no less than that of plastering mediocrity and futility. Therefore, we should not only cultivate the spiritual realm of "success does not need me", but also establish the historical responsibility of "success must have me". Moreover, some "hard work" has accumulated nourishment for success, in a sense, it is also a kind of "merit". When supervising and assessing, we should be good at distinguishing "false busy, ineffective" from "real action, slow effect" and preventing inaction from drilling system loopholes. Only in this way can we not only provide reformers with trial and error space, but also make those who "step on the throttle and hang in the blank" have nowhere to hide.

Don't boast of good colour, just leave fresh air to fill the sky. Work is not to be seen, the key is to be ambitious. If we do not adopt Chinese fame, rejuvenate falsehoods, keep our feet on the ground and strive for progress, we will gain merits that can withstand the test of time.
