The Tenth National Congress of Returned Overseas Chinese and their families opened on the morning of 29 in the Great Hall of the people in Beijing. Party and state leaders such as Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Wang Huning, Han Zheng and Wang Qishan attended the meeting to congratulate them. The auditorium of the Great Hall of the people has bright lights and warm atmosphere. Above the rostrum hangs the logo of the 10th National Congress of Returned Overseas Chinese Relatives. In the middle of the backstage, the emblem of the Chinese Overseas Chinese Federation, which symbolizes the hearts of the overseas Chinese from five continents, stands out to the motherland, with 10 red flags on both sides. On the second floor, the viewing platform hangs "to unite closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core, to adhere to the socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era of Xi Jinping as its guidance, to unite and condense the vast number of returned overseas Chinese relatives and overseas Chinese compatriots, and to strive for the realization of the Chinese dream of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation." Zhao Lejie, on behalf of the Party Central Committee, delivered a speech entitled "Writing a New Chapter for National Renaissance for the Power of Overseas Chinese in the New Age". First of all, Zhao Lejie extended warm congratulations on the convening of the General Assembly and sincere greetings to the families of returned overseas Chinese and overseas Chinese and workers of the Federation of Overseas Chinese.
Zhao Leji said in his speech that since the Ninth National Congress of Returned Overseas Chinese Relatives, overseas Chinese federations at all levels have firmly established the "Four Consciousnesses", consciously guided by Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, made great efforts to forge ahead and do solid work, carried forward the reform of overseas Chinese federations in depth, and achieved new development in all aspects of their work. This is a new look. Returned relatives of overseas Chinese and overseas Chinese have always breathed with their motherland and shared their destiny. They have given full play to their unique advantages and made positive contributions. They have shown their patriotic and patriotic feelings, the spirit of constant struggle for self-improvement and the international image of openness and self-confidence.
Zhao Lejie said that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on overseas Chinese affairs has provided fundamental guidance for the Party's overseas Chinese affairs in the new era. To realize the grand blueprint put forward by the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China for building a well-off society in an all-round way and opening up a new journey for building a socialist modernization country in an all-round way is the common goal of the whole Party and the whole nation, and is also the common mission of the Chinese people at home and abroad. On behalf of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League, the All-China Women's Federation, the Chinese Federation of Literature and Art, the Chinese Writers'Association, the Chinese Association of Science and Technology, and the All-China Taiwan Friends' Association, Huang Xiaowei, Secretary of the Party Group of the All-China Women's Federation, addressed the conference. At the meeting, the Chinese Federation of Overseas Chinese and the Office of Overseas Chinese under the State Council read out the Decisions on the Recognition of Outstanding Persons in the Overseas Chinese Sector and Advanced Persons in Returned Overseas Chinese Relatives, the Decisions of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Chinese Federation of Overseas Chinese on the Recognition of Advanced Collectives and Workers in the Overseas Chinese Liaison System, and the Chinese Federation of Oversea Organization and advanced individual decisions, and award prizes to individuals and individuals.
On behalf of the Ninth Committee of the Chinese Federation of Overseas Chinese, the Standing Chairman of the Presidium of the Congress, Wan Lijun, presented a working report entitled "Implementing New Thoughts, Building a New Era, Solidarizing the Returned Overseas Chinese Relatives and Overseas Chinese to Strive for the Great Renaissance of the Chinese Nation".
Some members of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, secretaries of the Central Secretariat, and relevant leading comrades of the Standing Committee of the NPC, the State Council and the CPPCC attended the meeting.
Some 3000 people attended the opening meeting, including representatives of the 10th National Congress of Returned Overseas Chinese Relatives, invited guests from overseas Chinese.
